Dear FILAMEDANs,

At this time, we are excited to officially announce that for our Fall 2008 Scholar & Author Series FILAMEDA will be welcoming Patricia Espiritu Halagao, Ph.D., from the University of Hawai'i, Manoa! As discussed at our July General Body Meeting, Dr. Halagao is an Associate Professor in the College of Education and the Project Director for the Smithsonian Centennial Filipino American Curriculum.

For this event, FILAMEDA is breaking new ground via the utilization of technology as Dr. Halagao will conduct a professional development workshop on the Filipino American Curriculum from Manoa. Please plan to join us on Saturday, October 11th. More details to follow.
